South West Federation Golf Croquet Competition

On Sunday, 20 May, Nailsea Croquet Club hosted the South West Federation Golf Croquet Competition. Three events were held – handicap singles, level play singles and handicap doubles. There were competitors from Broadwas, Budleigh Salterton, Kington Langley, Lansdown and Nailsea. Jim Gregory (Nailsea) won the level play event beating John Taber (Broadwas) in the final. All four finalists in the handicap doubles and both finalists in the handicap singles came from Broadwas. Hugh and Jay Popplewell won the doubles and Margaret Lewis won the handicap singles.
