Nailsea's 'B' League team got off to a flying start in their first match of the season. The team travelled to Torbay Croquet Club in Devon for this mid-week fixture. They had three convincing wins in the morning and another in the afternoon.. The three remaining games were very close and could have gone either way, but Nailsea hung on to win all three of these as well giving them a convincing 7 - nil victory.

The team won the 'B' League last year. This year the Club is entering a second team in the league. The other team is composed almost entirely of last year's beginners and they have their first match at Bath on Saturday.

BERNARD's two wins brings his handicap down to 14, making him no longer eligible to play in the 'B' League.
