Nailsea's Intermediate League team lost by two games to five at Taunton on Sunday. The Nailsea team found it very difficult to cope with the sloping uneven lawns. Nevertheless IAN WILSON won his singles game Nailsea were ahead in both the other morning games, but eventually GRETA STRINGER was overhauled and lost by just one point on time. PAT LONG and BERNARD WILSON were even more unlucky in the doubles. They were ahead right up to the very last turn, when one of the opponents did a seven-hoop break to win by two points on time.

In the afternoon IAN lost narrowly and GRETA also lost. The other two games went to time with a win for BERNARD and a loss for PAT.
