National & NDCC Short Croquet Competitions & SWF Federation League

Members of Nailsea Croquet Club were busy last weekend.

On Saturday morning four members contested for a qualifying place in the National Short Croquet Individual Competition. The winner was NICK CARTER and he will go forward to the Area Finals later in the year.

In the afternoon Nailsea held its own Short Croquet Competition. There were twelve competitors arranged in three blocks of four. The block winners were MARY BARNES, MARCUS EVANS, and ARTHUR GREEN and the runners-up were KATHY WALLACE, BRIGIT CLAYTON and NICK CARTER. The three winners will go forward to the semi-finals in September and there will be a play-off between the three runners-up for the fourth semi-final place.
