SWF Advanced Play League:  Nailsea 1  Sidmouth 4

In the morning MARCUS EVANS and PETER DYKE had a good win in the doubles by 14 points, but KRISS CHAMBERS suffered his first defeat of the season in the singles, losing by 17.

KRISS was not available to play in the afternoon and PAT LONG took his place.

MARCUS and PAT both lost by 17 points.

PETER looked well beaten. He made a spirited comeback, but it was not enough and his opponent pegged in the final Wharrad turn to win by 8 points.

This was the Nailsea team’s final match of the season and they are currently lying in fourth position in the league. They could possibly be overtaken by Budleigh Salterton who have a game in hand.
