All England Handicap Area Finals (at Bath)
12 croquet players from all over the South West met at Bath Croquet Club for the All England Handicap Area Finals.
Two home players dominated the event and the winner was 26-year-old JAMIE WALDRON (Bath, handicap 14, playing in his first season), with five wins out of five.
16-year-old EUGENE CHANG (Bath, hcp. 12, playing in his second season) was runner-up with four wins while JOHN GRIMSHAW (Dyffryn, Cardiff, hcp. 3) came third.
All three qualify for the National Finals to be held at Nailsea in two weeks time.
Nailsea Croquet Club’s representative, GEOFF HUGHES (hcp. 10) had a torrid
weekend with only one win.
