Edinburgh Tournament

Five Nailsea players took part in the Edinburgh Tournament (at Fettes College).

MARY BARNES was runner-up in the Advanced Handicap Singles for handicaps 8 and over.

RICHARD DELMAS won his block with 4 wins out of 4 in the Handicap Singles (handicaps 14 and over), beating BRIGIT CLAYTON into second place, but he lost the final by 8 points on time.

In the handicap doubles, BRIGIT CLAYTON & VIOLET DELMAS had one win while MARY BARNES & RICHARD DELMAS had two wins before being knocked out in the semi-finals.

In the Flexible Swiss Handicap Singles BRIGIT came 6th with 2 wins out of 4 and RICHARD came 7th with 2 wins out of 5.

RICHARD won the Lauder Bowl, for the player getting the furthest without winning an event and gained a handicap reduction from 18 to 16.
