South West Federation Golf Croquet Finals

The finals of the South West Federation Golf Croquet Championships were held at Nailsea on Sunday.

Level Play - Singles

MICHAEL LESTER (Budleigh Salterton) beat KATH BURT (Kingston Maurward) 7-5.

Handicap - singles

JOHN SHEPHERD (Plymouth) beat DIANNA TROTT (Swindon) 7-4.

Doubles

The winners were PETER DYKE & MARY BARNES (Nailsea).

They beat Plymouth 7-2 after being 2-nil down, then they narrowly beat Swindon 5-4, and in a close final the Nailsea pair were 5-3 up but allowed Kingston Maurward to draw level at 5-all before scoring hoops 11 and 12 to win 7-5.
