Stats not given to me, but it was by far the fastest game to finish in the afternoon (Wharrad turns definitely took less than 1 hr).

After the game I asked all players how they felt about Wharrad turns. Of the Nailsea players three were in favour and one against them. Of the Bristol players, three were against them and one didn’t mind either way.

I had one interesting refereeing enquiry. In attempting to run a hoop the striker’s ball came to rest part way through the hoop in contact with a dead ball. The striker took a bisque and before playing her first stroke of the bisque turn asked what happens after she had run the hoop? She intended to play the ball from where it lay, part way through the hoop. Do you know the answer? (See Law 14 (d) (4))
