LARS Plate

Over the weekend Nailsea Croquet Club played one block of the LARS* Plate Competition.

The winner of the block was Pat Long with 3 wins out of three and the runner-up was Bernard Wilson with two wins.

There were five competitors in the other block, which has been played throughout the season.

Peter Dyke and Geoff Hughes are joint leaders each with three wins out of four games, and John Grimshaw has two wins with one game to play. The final outcome of the block depends on this final game.

The winner of each block will play the runner-up of the other block and the winners of these two games will go forward to the All England Handicap Area Finals at Bristol Croquet Club on 4 & 5 September.

* Long Ashton Research Station Croquet Club donated the LARS Plate to Nailsea Croquet Club when the Research Station closed.

(Subsequent results - Sat 31 Jul)
