Nailsea Croquet Club Alternate Stroke Progressive Doubles
On Saturday Nailsea Croquet Club held an Alternate Stroke Progressive Doubles Competition in which six beginners were partnered by more experienced players.
In the first round partners were selected by random draw.
Joanna Kenny partnered
by Peter Dyke played well to win her game by ten.
The other two games were
much closer with a winning margin of two on time.
In the second round losers stayed on the same lawn and winners moved on a lawn and split up to form accompany new partners. Another win for Joanna, this time partnered by Richard Delmas, by two on time enabled her to maintain the largest winning margin.
Unfortunately some people were unable to stay for a third round and it started pouring with rain so play was abandoned for the day and Joanna was declared the winner.
