Wild Wednesday 2 - 14 Point Singles

On Wednesday ten hardy or perhaps foolhardy members of Nailsea & District Croquet Club braved the wind and the rain to play a second Wild Wednesday Competition.

Each player played three 14-point games and the winner of each game gained 20 points plus the margin of their win while each loser gained the number of points they scored.

After the first round the leader was Violet Delmas with 32 points and Pat Long and Ian Telfer were joint second with 27 points. After the second round Ian Telfer moved up to first place with a total of 56 points.

Violet was beaten by Peter Dyke who moved up to joint second place with Jim Field each having 47 points.

In the final round Ian had a convincing win over Peter to gain an unassailable lead with 88 points and Jim maintained second place with a total of 81 points. These two were well ahead of Geoff Hughes who moved up to third place with 63 points.
